The Art of Flower Making
Dorothée honed her skills at the renowned Belgian art school, la Cambre, studying in the silkscreen department. For 19 years, she collaborated with costume designers and oversaw production in various opera houses. Her passion for craftsmanship led her to learn millinery and silk flower making techniques.
In her studio, you'll find wooden hat blocks for millinery, along with antique tools for creating silk flowers, such as cutters and molds in the form of leaves and petals, as well as various irons for shaping the silk. Each step of the meticulous process is carefully executed to produce bespoke, one-of-a-kind flowers.
