Greenfield Clothiers
Bespoke Tailoing
Greenfield Clothiers, founded by master tailor Martin Greenfield in Brooklyn, is a storied atelier that has been synonymous with fine hand-tailoring for over half a century. Martin Greenfield, a Holocaust survivor who arrived in America in 1947, began his career as a floor boy in a Brooklyn factory before rising to become one of the most respected tailors in the world. Known for his exacting standards and impeccable craftsmanship, Greenfield has dressed some of the most influential figures of the past decades, from U.S. presidents to Hollywood stars. His atelier specializes in bespoke suiting, where each garment is painstakingly cut, sewn, and finished by hand, reflecting the artistry and precision that define true luxury.
Greenfield Clothiers remains a beacon of traditional tailoring in an ever-changing fashion landscape. Today, the atelier is run by Martin’s sons, Jay and Tod Greenfield, who carry forward their father’s legacy with the same dedication to craftsmanship and precision. Integral to the team is Richard Masciantonio, Martin’s longtime mentee and the head pattern maker, whose expertise as a highly skilled tailor ensures that each garment is crafted to the highest standard. Under their leadership, the Brooklyn workshop continues to produce hand-crafted, made-to-measure clothing with an unwavering commitment to detail—from fabric selection to hand-sewn buttonholes. Greenfield Clothiers stands as both a symbol of sartorial excellence and a living piece of history, where the art of tailoring is preserved and passed down through generations.
