Patchwork Jackets

Nil Nil is a collection of handmade patchwork jackets created by Alena Sanders, inspired by the traditional chore jacket, which originated in 19th-century France as the daily uniform for laborers and farmers. During the pandemic, Alena started experimenting with hand-dying fabrics, which led her to delve into quilting and create some exceptionally stylish work jackets. Her desire to create intentional and wearable pieces led her to establish Nil Nil.

For the OST collection, Alena collected discarded denim clothing from thrift stores in LA and used the material to create a patchwork denim jacket that resembles Japanese chore jackets. Each jacket is crafted by hand, making each one unique and one-of-a-kind. We love Alena's deliberate approach to fashion, and the resulting collection is a testament to her creativity and skill.
