Tradition with Contemporary Vision

Ataumbi’s journey is one of movement—between worlds, traditions, and landscapes—all of which shape her singular artistic vision. Born and raised on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming, she grew up surrounded by the rich artistic traditions of the Shoshone, Arapaho, and Kiowa peoples. Ataumbi’s artistry is an extension of her lived experience—fluid, deeply rooted, and constantly evolving.

The Work

Ataumbi combines fine jewelry materials with those sacred in Native traditions. Each piece is a meditation on what we treasure, why we treasure it, and the environmental and cultural cost of that reverence. Rooted in Kiowa aesthetics, her contemporary adornments carry the weight of ancestral knowledge, weaving sustainability, identity, and tradition into a striking visual language. This is adornment with intention.
