Miki Knits

Handknits for a New Era

Miki Zanini, a Milan-based hand-knitter, crafts timeless pieces that exude warmth and care. Her passion for knitting began during summers with her Swedish grandmother, who introduced her to the craft. While exploring various needlework techniques, Miki remained devoted to knitting, honing her skills through books, online classes, and tutorials.

After a career in fashion, Miki launched her knitwear brand, MikiKnits, in 2020. As an antidote to fast fashion, MikiKnits champions sustainability, craftsmanship, and ethical production. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to blend enduring comfort with understated sophistication.

The Work

Miki’s designs draw from traditional knitting techniques, particularly those of northern Europe, while incorporating her Italian sensibility for luxury. She sources premium yarns—cashmere, yak, and alpaca—from Italian mills, ensuring the highest quality in every creation. For Old Stone Trade, each style is crafted exclusively for our clients, blending heritage craftsmanship with modern elegance.
