Whether established in the 18th century or the 21st, each atelier, maker, and artisan at Old Stone Trade is a master of their craft—creating unique, handmade items of unmatched quality. OST’s portfolio of craftspeople spans the globe—from Colombia to Croatia, Jaipur to San Antonio, London to New York—each offering a piece of their unique tradition.Â
ORIGINS
Old Stone Trade was founded by Melissa Ventosa Martin. Melissa has twenty years of experience in the fashion industry as a fashion editor, stylist, and consultant. She spent the first six years of her career at T, New York Times Style Magazine and most recently worked as Fashion Director of Travel + Leisure and Departures Magazines. For the past 15 years she has covered women’s ready-to-wear, haute couture, fine jewelry and accessories in New York, Milan, London and Paris, developing an extensive global network of artisans. She lives in upstate New York with her husband and two daughters.
THE DESIGN
The art for our logo, lettering and lettermark was hand drawn by artist, Mark Leithauser.
Additional design and calligraphy was done by Sarah McCarthy of Ink Revival in Saratoga Springs, New York.
