An exceptional example of Scottish craftsmanship. This shawl, made by Acme Atelier, is hand cut and sewn from Jacobite remnant tartan woven by the House of Edgar—a historically significant pattern that predates the standardized clan setts.

Each piece is finished by hand, with hand-knitted and hand-fringed edging. The work cannot be replicated by machine, and the character of the tartan is preserved in every detail.

We have one piece available for immediate shipping.

ABOUT THE MAKER

Acme Atelier

In Scotland, a small atelier is quietly reshaping the tradition of kiltmaking. Andrea Chappell, founder of Acme Atelier, brings together her design education and a love for traditional craft. After studying at Central St Martins and the Royal College of Art, she received formal training in the hand stitched method of kiltmaking. She founded Acme Atelier to promote sustainable means of making new kilts using deadstock, vintage, and repurposed textiles.
