Acme Atelier

The Teasel Tweed Kilt

A mid-length, box-pleat kilt cut from our Teasel tweed — a bespoke cloth developed by Old Stone Trade and woven exclusively for OST by Knockando Woolmill in Scotland.

The hem is hand-fringed; the straps are cut from oxblood leather by hand and fastened with antique brass hardware.

The lining is block-printed with an original Teasel motif by Andrea Chappell herself — a detail invisible in wear, but present in every moment of dressing.

Each kilt is completely hand-stitched to order by Andrea in her atelier in Moray.

Andrea's order book is now open exclusively to Founding Members inquire.

ABOUT THE MAKER

Acme Atelier

In Scotland, a small atelier is quietly reshaping the tradition of kiltmaking. Andrea Chappell, founder of Acme Atelier, brings together her design education and a love for traditional craft. After studying at Central St Martins and the Royal College of Art, she received formal training in the hand stitched method of kiltmaking. She founded Acme Atelier to promote sustainable means of making new kilts using deadstock, vintage, and repurposed textiles.
