A traditional mid-length knife pleat kilt handmade by Andrea Chappell of Acme Atelier in Moray, Scotland.
The striking black and yellow tweed by Romney was inspired by Prospect Cottage, located on the coast in Dungeness on the Romney Marsh. Originally a fisherman’s hut, the house was bought by the late filmmaker Derek Jarman in 1984 and transformed over the years to include a rich and awe-inspiring garden which showcased vivid colours and sculptures, in contrast to the bare shingle.
A master kilt maker, Andrea Chappell cuts and sews each kilt by hand upon order. Customization of length, buckles and pleats available upon request. The kilt features black leather straps with brass buckles.
