Elegant in its simplicity, The Apron dress by Atelier Bomba easily transitions between the seasons.

Hand cut and sewn from Scabal cool wool, the dress has open sides and a square neckline.

A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER

The Apron dress was the first garment I ordered from Atelier Bomba for my personal wardrobe. I loved the simplicity of the design and chose to have it made in a navy pinstripe cotton. Michele Am Russo, a founder of Bomba, told me that the dress was worn as a “uniform” by the women that work in their shop in Rome. It was a charming image that stuck with me and so the Apron dress was the first piece developed for Edition 001. In designing the version for OST, I wanted a dress that combined the two seemingly conflicting ideas behind the uniform: austerity and ease. Michele suggested scabal cool wool, for it’s quality and for it’s versatility.

ABOUT THE MAKER

Atelier Bomba

Atelier Bomba is a family affair at its core. In 1980, designer and artist Cristina Bomba founded a store and cantina, which has since evolved into a high-end atelier run by her children, Michele Am Russ and Catarina Nelli, along with Michele's wife, Julia Frommel. Although they have introduced the shop on Via dell'Oca 39 to a new clientele, they have never strayed from their mother's original vision of refinement and sustainability.
