    ABOUT THE MAKER

    Mila.jito

Mila.jito is the leatherworking atelier of Lili and Joel Storella. Lili began her journey with Mila.jito in 2013, amidst the bustling streets of Shenzhen, China. Her vision was to craft hand-stitched bags that transcend fleeting fashion trends, embodying timeless elegance. Countless hours honing her skills and mastering the art of saddle stitching transformed Lili into a virtuoso of leatherwork. In a world where craftsmanship often takes a backseat, her rare ability to both design and personally handcraft each piece sets her apart.

In 2019, Lili relocated to the United States, where she found a partner in her husband, Joel, who had been refining his own leatherworking expertise since 2004. Together, they form a harmonious team, blending Lili’s visionary designs with Joel’s technical prowess. While her early clientele was cultivated in China, her move to the U.S. opened the door to a global audience.
