A reimagining of the traditional Andean ruana. Hand-crocheted and assembled by the women of Priah, a crochet atelier in Boyacá, Colombia, using deadstock Loro Piana cashmere. Each piece draws from the tocarreña potato fields of the high plains. The lacework—dense and textured—traces the shape of potato blossoms in bloom.

ABOUT THE MAKER

Priah

Priah was founded by Juanita Garcia with a simple yet profound mission: to safeguard the time-honored artistry of hand-crochet in Boyacá, Colombia, which faced a grave threat from the advancing tide of industrialization. Guided by her deep passion for sustainable fashion and social entrepreneurship, Juanita united a collective of highly skilled female artisans from the region. These artisans, revered masters of the hand-crochet techniques passed down through generations, joined forces under the banner of Priah.
