Priah

The Alba Dress - Studio Sample

The Alba dress is inspired by the Andean landscape featuring a crochet stitch developed by the Priah artisans to represent the corn flower fields surrounding their hometown of Boyaca, Colombia. An homage to female creativity and fertility.

The bodice is hand-crocheted from traceable silk and cotton yarn with a skirt made from a hemp silk blend. The demure, bell-shape sleeve and maxi length is off-set by a deep v-neck which is mirrored in the back. Fluid and sensual, the Alba dress can be worn casually or for special occasions.

The crafting time for each dress is 145 hours. Available for immediate shipping.

ABOUT THE MAKER

Priah

Priah was founded by Juanita Garcia with a simple yet profound mission: to safeguard the time-honored artistry of hand-crochet in Boyacá, Colombia, which faced a grave threat from the advancing tide of industrialization. Guided by her deep passion for sustainable fashion and social entrepreneurship, Juanita united a collective of highly skilled female artisans from the region. These artisans, revered masters of the hand-crochet techniques passed down through generations, joined forces under the banner of Priah.
