The Day Dress - Studio Stock

An OST original, The Day Dress is our answer to the perfect any-occasion dress. Inspired by the utility and ease of American house dresses and nurses uniforms from the 1930s, the day dress is a versatile shirt dress with short sleeves and hand-pleated details. Simple and demure, each dress is exquisitely finished with mother-of-pearl buttons and hand stitching. Available for immediate shipping.

Materials & Craftsmanship

Each dress is meticulously hand tailored by seamstress and dressmaker, Jodi Zanetti. Jodi hand makes each pattern and finished each dress with hand-stitching. Jodi was trained in costume design and has her own atelier in New York.

The custom gossamer dimity fabric was developed and woven for Old Stone Trade by renowned textile historian and weaver, Rabbit Goody of Thistle Hill Weavers, Cherry Valley, NY.

Jodi Zanetti

Jodi Zanetti, a seasoned expert in theater and costuming, has spent nearly two decades perfecting her craft behind the scenes of Broadway and renowned opera productions. After seven years as Costume Director, she changed paths to launch Z Stitches in early 2020. Trading the grandeur of the stage for a more personal touch, Zanetti now focuses on crafting custom made and tailor fitted garments.
